Halloween Caramel Apple Slices

Does your little one come home from school expecting a snack? My son always comes home and the first thing that he tells me after walking in the door that he is hungry. I keep plenty of snacks in the pantry and refrigerator for him to choose from but since Halloween is two weeks away, I wanted to surprise him with a healthy Halloween snack. Apples are one of my son’s favorite fruits to eat and I couldn’t be happier. I’d much rather my son pick up fruit or another healthy snack over junk food. So when we were at the grocery store, I picked up a bag of green apples, caramel dip, and Halloween sprinkles.

Halloween Caramel Apple Slices

Yesterday, my son was begging me for the apples with caramel dip so I wanted to whip up this quick and easy healthy Halloween caramel apple slices. The kids will love this festive treat.

Supplies Needed for the Halloween Caramel Apple Slices

Healthy Halloween Snack
  • Apple slicer (aff link)
  • Bag of apples (any kind)
  • Caramel dip
  • Halloween sprinkles

Directions

Healthy Halloween Apple Slices
  1. Spoon caramel dip into a bowl.
  2. Use a butter knife to spread the caramel onto half the apple.
  3. Sprinkle Halloween sprinkles on the caramel.
  4. Serve and Enjoy!

Yesterday, these caramel apples were a huge hit and my son loved them. He loves it when I surprise him with festive snacks. As a mom, I love it when he asks me for healthy snack options versus eating junk food. The caramel isn’t the healthiest but it is a great way to entice your child to eat healthy options.

  1. I love how simple this idea is! I think we actually have those ingredients already but I hadn’t thought about putting sprinkles on the caramel but will do it soon for sure!

  3. I do this all of the time only not as pretty. We went to a party over the summer and the watermelon and apples were placed close to each other and as I salted my watermelon I accidentally salted my apples which I then dipped in caramel and it was A-MAZ-ing!
