Have you ever made Easter chocolate covered popcorn? Yesterday afternoon, I decided to make some fun Easter treats before my son came home from his dad’s house. As I was making the Easter Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods, I knew that I was going to have a ton of CandyQuik left over. We love chocolate covered popcorn in our house and I decided to make Chocolate Covered Popcorn.
Ingredients
- CandyQuik Vanilla Cholocate (aff link)
- Wilton Gel Food Coloring in Easter Colors
- 3 Bags of Microwave Popcorn
Easter White Chocolate Popcorn
How to make this fun Easter White Chocolate Covered popcorn for your kids.
Equipment
- Cookie Sheet
- Mug for Melted Chocolate
- Bowl with Lid
- Large Container to Store Popcorn
Ingredients
- 3 bags Microwave Popcorn
- 1/2 block CandyQuik Vanilla Chocolate
- Wilton Gel Food Coloring in Easter Colors
Instructions
- Pop 3 bags of popcornin the microwave per directions.
- Place 1 bag of popped popcorn into the bowl that has a lid.
- Melt the CandyQuik Vanilla Chocolate per insructions.
- For two colors of popcorn, divide the CandyQuik vanilla chocolate into a mug and add a small amount of Wilton Gel Food coloring. Stir and add more food coloring until you reach the desired color.
- Spoon the first mug of chocolate over the popcorn that you put into a bowl.
- Put the lid on the bowl and shake the popcorn until it is throughly covered in the CandyQuik vanilla chocolate.
- Spread the chocolate covered popcorn on a cookie sheet so that the chocolate can harden.
- Repeat for the second color.
- Then pour 1 bag of plain popcorn into a large storage container. Add the first color of chocolate covered popcorn.
- Spread the second chocolate covered popcorn on the cookie sheet for several minutes so the CandyQuik can harden.
- Add the second color of chocolate covered popcorn to the large storage container.
- Mix the popcorn and serve.
How was your Easter? Easter for us was low key. We didn’t have anything planned with my family but it would have been nice to see everyone. Maybe in a few weeks, after the quarantine is lifted, we can have a makeup Easter dinner or get together.
